Red Fox CargoRide (“we”, “us”, or “the Platform”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our driver and shipper applications, websites, and related logistics services in Ethiopia.

1. Information we collect

Account data: full name, phone number, email (if provided), profile photo, date of birth, gender, and emergency contact details.
Driver verification data: national ID or passport details, vehicle registration, license information, and supporting documents you upload.
Location data: GPS coordinates while you are online or on an active job, used for matching, navigation, and safety.
Transaction data: wallet top-ups, payments, refunds, payout details, and related receipts.
Device & usage data: device type, app version, IP address, crash logs, and in-app activity needed to operate and improve the service.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your Red Fox CargoRide account.
To verify drivers, match cargo jobs, and support delivery operations.
To process wallet top-ups, fees, refunds, and payouts.
To communicate about jobs, safety alerts, support requests, and important service updates.
To detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with Ethiopian law.
To improve product performance, reliability, and customer experience.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

Shippers or drivers as needed to complete a booked delivery (for example, name, phone, and live location during an active job).
Payment processors and banks for top-ups, settlements, and refunds.
Service providers who host, monitor, or support our systems under confidentiality obligations.
Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property.

4. Data retention & security

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of logistics and payment data. No method of transmission is 100% secure; please protect your device and login credentials.

5. Your choices

You may update profile details in the app.
You may request account closure or correction of inaccurate data by contacting support.
You may disable location permissions, but core matching and job features may not work without location access while online.

6. Children’s privacy

Red Fox CargoRide is intended for adults who can enter binding contracts. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
